Notes:
Whose dream is it not to sleep on that couple of square metres of Earth - sharing it with lions?
THAT is my dream; to share the Earthbed with lions and be embraced by them. To lie wakeful during the day and hunt by night. This drawing is my spirit, in thought I am there on that late summer afternoon, on red Earth, relaxed but alert, watching - YOU! Who is safer - you or me?
The Earth gives and the Earth takes back I always thought that the most 'in tune' way to die was to be torn apart by lions and be eaten by them, or to drown in the company of dolphins and sink to the bottom of the ocean.
The name Lyonesse, strangely enough, has nothing to do with lions. It is the name of a lost land out in the Atlantic; off Land’s End in Cornwall (the walls to other dimensions are very thin there…) It is something very much alike Atlantic or Ys. The connection here is none, but the name Lyonesse sounds "female lion-esque." I have always liked the ring to it. And that is it. My dream to lie with lions visualised.
"All the dark seed there, in the blood we share
Tell me, are you lonely?"
I am not, here.
